Our strategy

Evidence behind every decision.

Toni Heater

When I started Quiet Branding, I knew I wanted data and evidence behind every decision, every piece of advice, and every blog post.

So I studied over 1,500 early-stage B2B SaaS startups that used blog posts to grow on Google and AI.

Then I analyzed the winners, the losers, the topics, the strategies, and the blog posts themselves, to build a formula I could tweak and adapt for each client.

And I've made sure that the study is an ongoing project, so we're always researching, updating, and expanding it to help clients stay ahead.

The results from this study have given us 5 principles to work by.

1

We prioritize winnable searches.

Nearly half the winners in our study (109 of our 242 winners) had a weak domain, yet they still ranked on Google. This is because they chased the right searches and didn't waste energy on terms that were already being dominated by high-authority companies. When we onboard a new client, we start by figuring out which terms their ideal customers are typing into Google and AI, and which ones their competitors are already dominating. Then, we figure out which terms (especially high-intent ones) could realistically be won by our client, and we start writing.

2

We focus on quality over quantity.

It's tempting to think that more blog posts equals more traffic, but our study says otherwise. The companies that lost weren't slacking: the average loser had a healthy domain (a median authority of 242) and had already published 19 blog posts, with some over 50. They had the authority and the volume, and still barely any traffic to show for it. When we write blog posts for clients, we don't pump out 30+ a month just to look busy. We cap our services at 16 posts a month and pour that effort into fewer, higher-quality pieces. If you're looking for quantity, there are plenty of cheap AI tools out there that can flood your blog with generic, low-quality content.

We want clients to see results.

Most SEO agencies preach that it takes 12 to 18 months to see any results, but we don't think that's true. In our study, the winners we could track started seeing meaningful traffic about seven months after publishing their first blog post, and some got there even sooner. We reverse-engineered their strategies, and now use those findings to build each client a personalized strategy that's designed to start working quickly but grow sustainably.

We aim for AI citations.

When your ideal customer asks ChatGPT or Perplexity a question, the AI builds its answer from a handful of sources. The goal is that one of those sources is your blog. Our study found that the companies that got cited by AI the most weren't necessarily the biggest brands. They were the ones who wrote the clearest, best answer in a blog post to a question they could own. We've analyzed hundreds of blog posts to figure out how to structure and write content that AI understands and deems reliable, to maximize the chances that ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and Gemini choose our clients' blogs as their cited source.

5

We put strategy first.

The most surprising thing we found from our study was that great writing on its own doesn't win. What set the winners apart was a combination of a solid strategy (choosing the right searches, targeting the right people, and selecting the right topics) and a writing style that was clear, concise, and had evidently been reviewed by a human before being published. We'll never deny that we use AI at Quiet Branding. In fact, it's what makes us so dependable and affordable. We've built an engine that understands every detail and finding from our study, plus everything we know about sales, marketing, and SEO/GEO. Our engine does the heavy lifting: analyzing, strategizing, ideating, drafting, tracking, and reporting. But we don't rely on it completely. Every blog post is proofread and edited by an expert copywriter before it reaches our clients or gets published to their site. That's how we guarantee quality.

What we can (and can't) promise.

What we can promise

  • We’ll build you a data-backed strategy, shaped by our study and tailored to your company, your ideal customers, and your competitors.
  • We’ll write you high-quality blog posts, each one proofread and edited by an expert copywriter before it’s published.
  • We’ll start with the searches your ideal customers are already making that you can realistically win, then broaden into bigger, tougher topics as your authority grows.
  • We’ll write content built to be cited by AI, not just to rank on Google.
  • We’ll show you the exact searches where a competitor shows up and you don’t.
  • We’ll start measuring from day one, so every bit of progress is dated and yours.
  • We’ll keep you updated with regular reporting, so you always know what’s working and what’s next.

What we can't promise

  • We won’t promise you a number-one ranking in 90 days. Good SEO builds over months, and we’ll show you the early signs long before then.
  • We won’t promise that you’ll take over ChatGPT. Being named “the best” is decided by other people’s content, not yours, so no one can guarantee it. What we can do is get you cited, and we’ll measure it every month.
